"Our vision is a community-led wellbeing hub that prioritises reconnection as the foundation for sustainable wellbeing."
At the Shape Wellbeing Community Hub, our mission is to create a space where people can reconnect — with themselves, with others, and with their community.
A combination of physical and mental wellbeing flexible spaces create the platform for the community to come together and rediscover the benefits of togetherness, sharing and communication. The old saying of, 'Travel alone, go faster. Travel together, go further', has never had so much resonance as in today's fractured society.
We believe wellbeing begins with early intervention and prevention, not waiting for crisis. By creating a supportive environment that is open, honest, and shaped by lived experience, we help people feel seen, heard, and valued.
We share a common goal with others in the town — to make Arbroath the best it can be achieved through well intentioned collaboration at all levels. The Hub will be a community-led and not-for-profit, working in partnership with all sectors and stake holders to create flexible, sustainable services that evolve with Arbroath’s needs. Every step is guided by the belief that the solutions already live within the community.
Our mission is to put the community at the heart of the Community Hub as where the community leads, the community thrives.
At the Shape Wellbeing Community Hub, our values shape everything we do — from how we welcome people through the door to how we make decisions, build partnerships, and support the wellbeing of Arbroath.
Our approach is rooted in the seven SHAPE principles and guided by a wider commitment to creating a space where everyone feels seen, supported, and connected.
At the Hub, people are listened to — not just heard. We take time to understand what matters to each individual and respond with care and kindness.
We know life can be hard. We’re here to offer support without judgment, creating a space where people feel safe to open up, ask for help, or simply be.
Everyone is welcome, just as they are. We respect each person’s background, experience, and journey — and support them to take the next step in their own way.
The Hub is a shame-free zone. Whether someone is struggling, thriving, or somewhere in between, they’ll be met with openness and respect.
We believe trust is built through transparency. We’re clear about what we offer, how we work, and why we make the choices we do — so the community always feels informed and involved.
This is a place of real conversations, real people, and real support. We bring our full selves to this work, and encourage others to do the same.
We pay attention — to the small things, to what’s changing, and to what the community tells us it needs. We adapt and respond with care, not assumptions.
These values help us create a community-led hub that’s more than just a space — it’s a place of reconnection, early support, and belonging.
For the people of Arbroath, this means:
Together, we’re shaping a hub that reflects the heart of Arbroath — one that’s inclusive, sustainable, and built to support wellbeing for the long term.
